Timon Lumière in four words: Live Acoustic Folk Pop
Growing up in the highs and lows of the Swiss Alps, music and lyricism have always been Timon Lumière's guiding light.
Raised by pop icons, his musical palette is shaped by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Lana Del Rey, Rufus Wainwright, Sam Smith, Hozier, Lisa Hannigan and Lady Gaga.
You cannot not tell a story. Lumière writes out of necessity, trying to make sense of the sensory overload that is life. Fascinated by chasms of the human mind, he sings about mental health, feminism, love, self-discovery, queerness & salty condiments, all while being on a mission to initiate a renaissance of a more naturalistic simplistic and "real" approach to music.
What is real anyway?

Written for the short movie Amar & Lena, Stardust marks Timon Lumière’s first composition for a film production. Amar & Lena tells the story of a couple from different cultural backgrounds, navigating grief, bodily autonomy and societal expectations.
The song was released on streaming platforms in April 2025 alongside a simple music video. Stardust stands out for its subtle way of shedding light on emotions that are usually concealed due to other's expectations that one should have already moved on.
Timon Lumière won Best Original Score with Stardust at the Rome International Movie Awards in August 2025.
Timon Lumière's debut EP Heaven is an introspective travelogue, describing a journey that begins in a desolate, gloomy cavern and slowly ascends along a path leading into the light.
With melancholic campiness the singer-songwriter offers insight into states of hopelessness and depression (Delirium), the experience of being queer in a Swiss mountain village (Pearl in the Oyster Sauce), the sensationalism of women's suffering (Medusa (蛇)) and how to initiate change within oneself and others (Heaven).
All songs were recorded live in Berlin and are allowed to shine through their simplistic, acoustic arrangements. Lumière is accompanied only by himself on the piano or by Fede Paoles on the guitar.
Do you live or are you being lived?
Timon Lumière’s debut single Before I Knew You was released in March 2023. The live-recorded piano ballad portrays the innocence and timidity of first love through natural imagery, concluding that you don’t necessarily have to love yourself in order to love somebody else - but that you can also discover self-love love by loving somebody else.
